Vote No On 256

Coloradans decide Colorado's maps. Vote NO on 256.

National Republicans spent 2025 redrawing state after state to lock in more seats in Washington. Now, backed by the same national playbook, Initiative 256 asks Colorado to freeze our maps in place — while everyone else keeps redrawing theirs. Vote NO this November, and keep Colorado's future in Colorado's hands.

The Double Standard

Other states redraw their maps whenever it's convenient. Initiative 256 says Colorado can't — ever.

In 2025, Republican legislatures in Texas, Missouri, Ohio, North Carolina, and beyond tore up their congressional maps mid-decade to manufacture more safe GOP seats before voters ever cast a ballot. Nothing stopped them. Now Initiative 256 wants Colorado voters to lock our own maps in place — permanently — while those states keep right on redrawing. That's not fairness. That's Colorado being asked to unilaterally disarm.

We call out the double standard

We expose how Initiative 256 would freeze Colorado's maps in place while national Republicans keep redrawing theirs, state by state.

We're building the NO vote

We organize Coloradans precinct by precinct — door to door, phone to phone — to defeat Initiative 256 this November.

We call out who's behind it

National groups and out-of-state operatives are backing Initiative 256. We make sure Colorado voters know it before they vote.

The Stakes

One party is redrawing Congress before a single vote is cast.

Texas. Missouri. North Carolina. Ohio. Indiana. In state after state, Republican legislatures moved in 2025 to redraw congressional lines outside the normal once-a-decade census cycle — specifically to lock in more Republican seats ahead of 2026. Meanwhile, Initiative 256 wants Colorado voters to sign away our own ability to ever respond.

  • ✓Texas redrew its map in August 2025 to target five Democratic-held seats.
  • ✓Missouri dismantled a Kansas City-area seat held by a 12-term Democrat.
  • ✓North Carolina and Ohio squeezed competitive districts to favor the GOP.
